This role involves assisting residents in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to person-centered care and possess relevant experience in home and community care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working within a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs as needed Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Provide patient observation to ensure safety and well-being Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition standards Support residents during recreational activities, social engagement, and community outings Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to ensure comprehensive care Skills Proven experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home health environments; group home or nursing home experience is preferred Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety oversight Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards Excellent communication skills for engaging residents and coordinating with team members Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility needs using equipment like Hoyer lifts Compassionate attitude with patience for working with seniors or individuals requiring specialized care such as memory or hospice care Basic cooking skills for meal preparation and nutritional support Experience working with care plans and assisting with ADLs in a home or community setting is highly desirable Join our team to provide compassionate support that enhances the quality of life for those we serve.
