BBMS SLS LLC
is seeking compassionate and dependable Home Care Aides (HCAs) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. HCAs assist clients with daily living activities while promoting independence, health, safety, and community participation. This position requires strong domestic skills, including maintaining a clean home environment and preparing healthy meals. Additional responsibilities include assisting with medical appointments, personal hygiene, recreation, transportation, and medication monitoring. We are seeking candidates who enjoy working with individuals with developmental disabilities, are available to work weekends, and are interested in teaching life skills and modeling positive behaviors. Flexibility in scheduling is highly valued. Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors is a plus. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct care, supervision, and support during daily activities. Assist clients with shopping, safety awareness, community participation, recreation, relationship building, physical fitness, conflict resolution, anger management, coping skills, and maintaining a clean and healthy home environment. Support clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, transportation, meal preparation, medication management, and personal care. Complete household responsibilities including cleaning, organization, record keeping, maintaining schedules and routines, and basic household upkeep. Teach and reinforce adaptive living skills such as cooking, laundry, telephone use, community awareness, and community access. Participate in assessments, data collection, and documentation related to client programs. Collect and analyze ongoing data and complete required documentation pertaining to client programs. Provide supervision and redirection to reduce disruptive or maladaptive behaviors. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of assigned clients. Assist with Daily status notes reporting procedures and special incident reports. Communicate effectively with team members regarding program updates, and client needs. Attend required trainings and staff meetings. Follow all

policies, procedures, and program requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass a fingerprint-based background check. Possess a valid California Driver's License. First Aid and CPR certification required within two weeks of hire. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, stretching, and standing for extended periods. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Patient, dependable, and detail-oriented. Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with clients, families, social workers, and team members. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
