In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support daily activities, and foster independence within home and community settings. Your energetic approach will help empower individuals to achieve their goals, promote social engagement, and enhance their overall well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to build rewarding relationships while developing valuable skills in behavioral health, caregiving, and social support. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and comfort Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management techniques and personalized care plans Facilitate communication using various methods such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication tools when applicable Collect data on progress and behaviors to inform care strategies and ensure accurate documentation for case records Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict safety standards Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to create a supportive environment tailored to each individual's needs Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community settings Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members Knowledge of behavior management techniques and data collection methods for tracking progress Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving in diverse environments This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a positive impact through direct support work.
