Direct Support Professional

Position:

Janitorial/Program Aid Type work: Janitorial and Working with Adult Males with Mental Illness Swing Shift (7:30pm-7:30am) / Overnights (12am-9am)

Hours:

Full-time We are a 24-hour facility providing support to adult male residents with Mental Health Disabilities while conducting facility cleaning and resident monitoring. You must be able to work any day of the week. Document observations of residents' activity. Lead and document group activities. Assist in de-escalation of patients and redirection to maintain a safe environment. Perform janitorial cleaning of facility. Perform general facility cleaning and sanitation according to facility sanitation policies: Sweeping and mopping floors, _ Washing walls _ _ Making beds _ _ Vacuuming _ _ Washing Dishes _ _ Dusting _ _ Cleaning Bathrooms and toilets _ _ Laundry _ Assist in maintaining resident's personal hygiene rules are adhered. Perform general facility rounds to ensure safety of clients and staff. Monitor and assist residents in cleaning personal spaces and outdoor areas. Monitor resident's social behavior and provide daily reports to attending management. Monitor and maintain social interaction between residents. Supervise visitors on the premises.

background check (Live Scan) Health screening and TB test Able to communicate in oral and written forms in English is required. You must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, assisting with patient restraint and light to heavy lifting of cleaning equipment. Computer experience required
