In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care settings, you will be the trusted companion and caregiver who enhances quality of life through compassionate service. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in your community. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to ensure safety and comfort. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry. Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to ensure accurate record-keeping. Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and mental well-being. Support residents' or clients' participation in social activities and community outings, including driving when qualified. Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Strong caregiving skills with experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes. Valid driver's license for transportation duties; experience driving preferred. Physical stamina for long shifts involving standing, walking, lifting (Hoyer lift), and other physical tasks.
