This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support medication administration and manage care routines as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer residents or patients with mobility challenges. Document patient observations, care activities, and incident reports accurately to ensure seamless communication within the care team. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for residents or clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities. Collaborate with healthcare providers and social workers to implement personalized care plans that meet each individual's unique needs. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring. Hands-on experience with medication administration, CPR certification, first aid training, and HIPAA compliance are essential. Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorders, or other developmental disabilities is advantageous. Familiarity with specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or mobility aids enhances your ability to provide safe support. Proven ability to work compassionately with seniors or individuals requiring long-term care in a variety of settings. Strong communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward patient safety and well-being are vital for success in this role.
