Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary plans, ensuring proper food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks within the living space and common areas. Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being. Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and adhere to all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Certification or training in first aid, CPR, HIPAA compliance, medication administration, and safety procedures is advantageous. Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving; patience and empathy are essential qualities. Familiarity with care plans development.
