Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Los Angeles, CA 90061 $20 an hour - Part-time $20 an hour - Part-time About Us John and Marvella's Oasis Residential Care Facility is a family-owned and operated Adult Residential Facility serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are committed to providing person-centered, HCBS-compliant services that promote dignity, independence, and community integration. We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals / Care Providers in the Los Angeles area . Position Overview Care Providers deliver direct support services to adults with developmental disabilities in a residential home setting. This position supports residents with daily living skills, health and safety, and meaningful community participation. Up to 40 hours per week $20.00 per hour Weekday and Weekend Shift Available Nightshift Available What We're Looking For We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented individuals who are interested in providing person-centered care within an HCBS-aligned Adult Residential Facility.
Qualified applicants will demonstrate:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Empathy, patience, and professionalism Ability to engage residents in indoor/outdoor activities and community outings Willingness to follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and agency policies Duties and Responsibilities Assist residents with self-help skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), and community integration Support implementation of residents' Individual Service Plans (ISPs) Assist with self-administration of medications per policy Collect and document data related tobehavioral support needs Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment, including daily cleaning and laundry Assist with meal preparation and household tasks Maintain required documentation and resident records, including personal and incidental accounts Attend required staff meetings and in-service trainings Perform other duties as assigned by the Home Manager Minimum Requirements / Certifications Applicants must meet HCBS and DDS requirements , including: Valid Driver's License or State Identification CPR/AED and First Aid Certification Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification Direct Support Professional (DSP) Y1/Y2 certification Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance Reliable transportation If you are compassionate, dependable, and interested in making a meaningful difference, we encourage you to apply!
