English and Bi/Multi-Lingual are also encouraged to apply At Creative Minds, our mission is to empower our service recipients to be as independent as possible. At this time our company has multiple DSP positions open for our Independent Living Services (ILS) and Supported Living Services (SLS) program. Applicants will work with our service recipients in their homes and communities to provide exceptional support. We serve the San Fernando and some Antelope Valley recipients. The Creative Minds ILS and SLS program provides one to one support to adults in their homes, to enable them to live successfully and fully integrate into their community. Your job as a staff member (DSP) is to provide instruction, support, physical help and assistance, and guidance to each service recipient. Duties range from verbal guidance and coaching to full physical care giving, including lifting, transferring, toileting, feeding, etc. Other duties include grocery shopping, cooking, household maintenance, laundry. We also accompany our service recipients to medical appointments, Social Security Office, etc. This position requires background clearance and health screening. We provide mileage reimbursement and other employee benefits, such as Health, Dental, and Life Insurance, sick and vacation pay, and more. We serve recipients 24 hours per day. • Caregiving experience
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism
• Direct support or patient care experience
• Knowledge of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• First aid certification
• Experience with clients' rights
• Ability to perform some lifting; use of Hoyer lift
• Valid driver's license
• Fluent in English, multilingual a plus
• Experience in cleaning and driving
• Background in nursing or childcare might be beneficial

Pay:

$19.00 per hour
