Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 🏠

Home Health & Hospice - patient home visits required πŸ’΅
Pay Rate:
$22/hr πŸš—
Travel:

Training:
Equipment provided during orientation/training ⭐ Position Summary The Certified Home Health/Hospice Aide (CHHA) works under the supervision of an RN or therapist, providing personal care services to support patient comfort and independence. The CHHA documents patient observations, reports changes promptly, and supports continuity and safety in patient care. This role does not include any duties considered nursing practice per state Nurse Practice Act (e.g., administering medication, taking orders, sterile procedures). πŸ“Œ Required Certifications & Licensure Active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in California - in good standing Current BLS Registered on the Home Care Aide Registry (CA DSS - Home Care Services Bureau) Valid driver's license + insured, reliable vehicle πŸ“‹ Required Skills & Experience Experience providing personal care in Home Health and/or Hospice Ability to work independently in the field and maintain professionalism in patient homes Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills Demonstrated competency with equipment and technology used for patient care Knowledge of infection control protocols Ability to work with diverse patient populations Must demonstrate empathy, calm demeanor, and comfort supporting the terminally ill Hospice-specific training requirement: Minimum 75 hours classroom & supervised practical training 16 hours classroom + 16 hours mandatory practical training minimum πŸŽ“ Education High School Diploma or equivalent required 🌟 Behavioral & Clinical Competencies Candidates must demonstrate: Initiative, accountability, and strong work ethic Sensitivity to patient and family needs Understanding of patient safety principles Ability to build and maintain respectful professional relationships ⏳ Physical Requirements (Per role expectations) Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs Occasional lifting/pulling up to 50 lbs Repetitive hand use, visual and hearing acuity To apply, please send your updated resume and licenses to: staffing@huckeyehealthcare.com For questions, reach us at: (281)-769-8184
