Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor patient conditions through patient observation and report changes to ensure accurate medical documentation. Support medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Assist client in performing vital signs assessments such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status. Provide specialized care for patients with different diseases and/or ailments, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation to meet dietary needs. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and general cleaning. Document all patient interactions accurately to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Support clients' emotional well-being through compassionate communication and engaging activities tailored to individual preferences. Experience Prior experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or long-term care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments. Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and vital signs monitoring is essential. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes is advantageous. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is preffered; Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities are key to success in this role.
