In this vital role, you will empower residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attentive nature will foster a positive environment where residents feel valued and supported every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and compassionate service. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, assist with meal service, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas Implement individual care plans by providing personalized support for residents with mental health, autism, or other developmental disabilities Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to sanitation protocols Document resident progress accurately in care records while respecting privacy standards such as HIPAA Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of resident observation techniques, and medication administration. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and team members Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others Ability to pay attention to detail, multitask, and use sound judgement Must be able to cook safely and clean accordingly to safety precautions Join us as a Direct Support Professional where your dedication transforms lives!
