Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. . This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering positive relationships and enhancing quality of life. Duties Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor health status by observing patient behavior, and reporting changes to healthcare teams in accordance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals aligned with care plans and dietary restrictions while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, client progress, and incident reports while respecting confidentiality standards Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic living space for clients in compliance with health standards Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care techniques such as assisting with ADLs, patient monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance is essential Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient handling and mobility assistance Strong observational skills for patient safety, including dementia or memory care needs and autism spectrum disorder support Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, and families Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities or aging-related needs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and TB test At LLFS, we are committed to providing person-centered, compassionate care that empowers individuals with disabilities to live safely and with dignity in their homes and communities.
