      • Position Overview
      • As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide direct care, supervision, and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist residents with daily living activities, implement individualized behavior support and healthcare plans, and promote independence through engaging, person-centered programming.
      • Key Responsibilities
      • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene as needed
      • Support implementation of Behavior Support Plans and Health Care Plans
      • Monitor, supervise, and ensure resident safety at all times
      • Provide active programming and meaningful engagement throughout each shift
      • Foster independence, community inclusion, and personal growth
      • Document resident progress and services provided according to program requirements
      • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
      • Work collaboratively with Program Administrators, Shift Leads, and interdisciplinary teams
      • Maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents
      • Minimum Qualifications
      • At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
      • Current CPR/AED Certification
      • High School Diploma, GED, or official transcripts (verification required)
      • Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered support
      • Strong communication and documentation skills
      • Preferred Qualifications
      • Experience as a Direct Support Professional in an adult residential facility
      • Experience implementing behavior support plans and working with diverse support needs Candidates with residential DSP experience will receive priority consideration.

      • The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home, community or residential setting.
      The Direct Support Personnel I works directly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance of the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
      • Minimum Requirements:
      • + High School diploma or its equivalent + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age + Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
