Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies. Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Document medical records accurately, including notes on patient observations, medication schedules, and care plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals on medical terminology understanding and follow care plans for hospice or long-term care clients. Skills Strong ability to observe patients carefully and recognize changes in condition or behavior. Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly valued. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions. CPR certification and understanding of emergency response procedures are required. Compassionate caregiving skills combined with excellent communication and patience. Ability to handle physical tasks involving lifting or transferring patients safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
