Full Job Description Direct Support Professional, Day Services Job Type:

Day Services Supervision Exercised:
None SUMMARY As a Direct Support Professional , under the supervision of the Program Director of Day Services , you'll help adults with developmental disabilities promote their independence in social and employment settings. ✨
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
On-the-job Training :
Assist program participants in both group and individual settings.
Personal Care Support :
Aid with personal care tasks, including toileting, changing, and hygiene.
Accurate Record Keeping :
Maintain current and detailed records such as daily participant documentation.
Community Engagement :
Foster positive relationships with participants, vendors, community members, and agency staff.
Public Transportation Training :
Assist participants with using public transport and community integration.
Goal Monitoring :
Help participants track and achieve their goals.
Promote Independence :
Organize social and vocational groups that support independent living.
Compliance :
Follow Momentum Inc.'s policies, CARF accreditation standards, and all relevant regulations.
Flexibility :
Be available to work at different Momentum WORK, Inc. locations as needed.
Transporting Participants :
Be able to transport participants unless waived by the Executive Director.
Other Duties :
Additional tasks as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand , sit , and walk for long periods. Ability to go up and down stairs and push or pull wheelchairs . Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics. Full awareness of environmental stimuli . Crisis Management and Safety training included. ADA accommodations available.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of experience working with persons with developmental and/or other disabilities preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions. Compassion and patience for individuals with intellectual, emotional, or physical limitations. Availability during disasters as per disaster plan. Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (Training provided). ✨
