At Becoming Independent (BI), we're seeking Direct Support Professional II (DSP II) team members, experienced, purpose-driven individuals ready to make an impact alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP II, you will provide direct support to individuals while modeling best practices and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment. This role involves supporting daily routines, assisting with community activities, and celebrating personal milestones. You'll play an important role in helping individuals build connections, access opportunities, and grow their independence. What Makes This Role Different DSP II positions go beyond daily support. You'll spend your time actively engaging in the community, facilitating learning experiences, and coaching individuals toward greater independence. In addition, you'll support program success by guiding new team members, problem-solving in real time, and fostering collaborative solutions that ensure consistency and quality in services. What You'll Do Support individuals in living life on their terms, always centering personal choice Facilitate skill development in areas such as daily living, social engagement, and personal care Transport individuals safely using a personal vehicle, company car, or public transit Promote independence, confidence, and meaningful participation in community life Ensure consistent, professional, and person-centered support across settings What We're Looking For We're seeking reliable, energetic professionals with prior experience in direct support or human services. DSP II team members are strong communicators, problem-solvers, and leaders who can adapt in dynamic environments while remaining focused on each individual's goals.
