Direct Support Professional Disabled individuals needing opportunities Stockton, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $21 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Outdoor work Driver's License Instructional adaptability Sports Full Job Description Job Summary Join our dynamic day program team where you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities! As a Support Staff member, you will provide hands-on daily support to program participants across a wide variety of activities and community outings. This is an active, rewarding role for someone who is passionate about inclusion and empowering others. Your day-to-day will look different every time — from cheering participants on at basketball events and track & field activities, to accompanying them on community outings like trips to the mall, library, and more. You'll also support participants with peer learning, public transportation (bus riding), and building independence in everyday life skills. Key Responsibilities Support individuals with intellectual disabilities during daily program activities and community outings Assist with recreational and sports events including basketball and track & field Accompany and support participants on community trips (mall, library, etc.) Facilitate peer learning and social skill development Assist individuals with navigating public transportation Provide person-centered care tailored to each individual's needs Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment at all times Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities (preferred but not required) Valid driver's license with current registration and insurance (staff may ride with you for community outings) Reliable personal vehicle Ability to work a minimum of 3 days per week, 6-hour shifts Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to adapt to diverse environments and individuals Patient, calm, and compassionate demeanor Ability to engage in physical activities (sports, outdoor events).
