In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Your work will involve assisting clients with daily living activities, promoting their well-being, and fostering a supportive environment that encourages personal growth. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. Support individuals with disabilities in developing life skills and achieving personal goals. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions. Monitor and document clients' health status, including vital signs and any changes in behavior or condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Engage clients in community activities to promote socialization and inclusion. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients while adhering to health and safety regulations. Requirements Experience in senior care, caregiving, or long-term care is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration practices is a plus. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic health assessments, including taking vital signs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in caregiving or healthcare are advantageous.
