In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence. Your responsibilities will include patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience in caregiving, home health, or working with people with disabilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients. Support individuals in community integration and participation in social activities. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living environment. Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe transfers when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive and physical health. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Previous experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Familiarity with memory care and dementia care practices is beneficial. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their highest potential. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
