Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) At MARS Group, Inc. , we are dedicated to providing high-quality residential and support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is centered on compassion, dignity, and empowering the individuals we serve. We are currently seeking caring, dependable, and motivated candidates to join our team at: EBSH (Enhanced Behavioral Support Home)- Visalia ARF (Adult Residential Facility)

RATE RANGES
DSP:
$16.90 to $18.00 per hourRBT:
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour ( must have RBT certification to be considered for this pay range ) Essential Functions for all positions include but are not limited to: Provide care and training to the individual as outlined in the Program Plan andIBSP/IPP
; Comply with the facilities policies, procedures, and regulations; Provide and supervise recreational activities in the facility and community; Treat each person with respect; Keep the facility neat and clean; Prepare nutritional meals and snacks as specified by prepared menus; Supervise eating; involve individuals in conversations at the table; Provide a home-like setting for all individuals; Understand and follow individuals' rights; Assist each individual with self-administration of prescribed medications; Recognize early signs of illness and the need of professional assistance; Utilize necessary community services and resources; Keep all doctor, dentist, eye doctor, etc. appointments, as required; Maintain notes, charting, graphs as required by the Regional Center. (This documentation necessary to gather information of individual's progress toward meeting individual goals.); Promote and celebrate special events, (i.e. birthdays and holidays); Attend any resident conference that may be required includingIBSP/IPP
meetings; Properly implement and document formal objectives outlined in theIBSP/IPP
; Observe resident's conditions and behaviors documenting in an on-going chart kept for each resident to show significant challenges as they occur; Notify administrator and/orDR/RN/LVN/LPT
as needed and report occurrences of incidents to oncoming shift; Assist the administrator in making full use of the emergency resources; and Perform other duties as assigned by the administrator or licensee.ALL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years of age or older High School Diploma or equivalent 1-year previous experience working with developmentally disabled individuals Valid California Driver's License Ability to speak, read and write English Willing to submit to pre-hire screenings upon offer of employment that includes: TB, physical, drug screen, and background check (FBI, DOJ, Community Care Licensing) Ability to work any day of the week Willing to register and complete the courses DSP1 and DSP2 within 6 months of employment Willing to take the necessary course and obtain RBT within 1 year of employment and maintain the certification for the duration of employment (only applicable toEBSH/CCH
positions) Willing to attend required trainings outside of normal scheduled shift timesRBT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Current Certified Registered Behavior Technician; and Demonstrated ability to implement physical crisis and de-escalation techniques.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to carry and lift up to 50lbs Able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, push, pull, stand, crawl, reach, walk, kneel, and crouch Able to perform repetitive motions Able to ascend and descend stairs Ability to use arms and hands to physically intervene with individuals in behavior (CPI and Ukeru requirements) Ability to see, speak, and hear In compliance with federal regulation, MARS adheres to a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and marijuana.
