Shascade Community Services is seeking compassionate, dedicated Day Program Instructors for our Trinity Services location in Weaverville. In this role, you aren't just a caregiver; you are a mentor and a bridge to the community. You will support adults with developmental disabilities as they develop independent living skills, participate in community outings, and engage with the local Weaverville community.

What You Will Do:

Support Independence:

Provide hands-on training in daily living skills like personal finance, household tasks, and social etiquette.

Community Advocacy:

Facilitate and transport clients to local outings, and social events.

Direct Care:

Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and self-administration of medication.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate daily case records and health logs.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older. High School Diploma or GED. Valid Driver's License. Hiring Requirements (Pre-Employment) To ensure the safety of our staff and the individuals we serve, all offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of the following:

Pre-Employment Physical :

A basic physical exam to ensure you can safely perform the job duties (such as assisting with client mobility or walking during community outings). TB (Tuberculosis)

Test:

Must provide a current negative TB clearance.

Background Check:

Successful clearance through a DOJ/FBI fingerprinting process.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Day shift
