In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support daily living activities, and promote independence within a safe and nurturing environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a lasting impact on individuals' lives. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistance devices Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and assist residents with eating when necessary Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans, ensuring safety and accuracy Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of living spaces in compliance with health standards Support residents during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies Experience Previous experience working in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in medication administration or heavy lifting is a plus Demonstrated ability to follow care plans meticulously while maintaining compassion and patience Prior experience using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal mobility aids is beneficial Join us as a Direct Support Professional if you're passionate about empowering individuals through dedicated caregiving.
