Job Description
Job Overview This role entails offering person-centered services and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The main duty is to offer direct supervision during activities and assist clients in acquiring the skills necessary for independent living in their community. Key Responsibilities Familiarize yourself with client-specific protocols, services, supports and individual support plans. Uphold professional boundaries while building a trustworthy and positive relationship with clients. Collect necessary supplies, equipment, medications, and materials to effectively engage in person-centered service and supports. Facilitate clear and efficient communication with team members, leads, supervisors, managers and other agency administration as required. Actively participate in training, community gatherings, team collaborations, and service planning meetings as instructed. Address difficult behaviors using the techniques learned in training. Adhere to all safety protocols and organizational policies. Submit all essential documentation each day. Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation with up-to-date registration and insurance. CPR and First Aid (on-site training provided). QMAP trained within 60 days of hire (on-site training provided). Ability to pass a background check and a drug test.
