Job Type:
Full-time, Temporary (2 weeks) — 12-hour shifts
Pay:
$23•25 per hour
Positions Available:
50 Responsibilities Assist with shelter intake and check-in for arriving residents Distribute meals, water, hygiene items, and other essential supplies Monitor shelter areas to help maintain a safe and orderly environment Assist residents with questions, needs, and requests Help set up and break down cots, supplies, and shelter areas as needed Support coordination with case managers and shelter leadership Report any safety, health, or resident concerns to shelter supervisors promptly Maintain accurate logs of tasks and resident interactions as required Requirements Able to work full-time for the full 2-week assignment Computer proficiency and basic data entry skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Comfortable working in a high-need, fast-paced environment Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods and assist with light lifting (supplies, cots, etc.) Compassionate and respectful communication with residents in stressful circumstances Reliable and punctual Prior shelter, emergency response, healthcare, or customer service experience a plus, but not required Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as scheduled What We Offer Competitive hourly pay: $23•25/hr Full-time hours for the 2-week assignment Opportunity to make a direct impact supporting your community during a disaster response On-the-job training provided
