This is a very part-time, flexible position (2-3 days per week max) —perfect for someone looking to pick up extra income, complement another job, or enjoy meaningful, low-stress work. This role is centered around building a genuine relationship and supporting a fun, engaging lifestyle—think lunches out, walks, shopping, cooking, and getting out into the community. You'll provide a mix of light support in the home and community-based activities , helping ensure the individual is safe, supported, and enjoying life. Schedule 2-3 days per week (you choose the days) Typical shift times: 3 hour shifts - flexibility on times Flexible scheduling based on your availability and the individual's needs What You'll Do Spend quality, engaging time with the individual in both home and community settings Support fun, everyday activities like going to lunch, shopping, walks, and community outings Assist with light household support (organization, meal prep, general check-ins) Provide transportation for community access and errands Help ensure the home environment is safe, comfortable, and meeting the individual's needs Encourage independence, social connection, and confidence Follow individualized support plans and document daily activities Communicate with the Summit Supports team to ensure consistency of care What We're Looking For Experience working as a Direct Support Professional (preferred) Someone who is dependable, positive, and enjoys building relationships Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Strong communication and basic documentation skills Comfortable supporting individuals in both home and community settings Requirements Must be 21 years or older High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance Ability to pass required background checks (APS, CPS, State Patrol, FBI) Ability to meet the physical needs of the role, including walking, light activity, and community outings Training & Support We provide all required training, including: CPR & First Aid Certification Mandatory Reporter Training Individual rights and abuse/neglect prevention Behavioral support techniques Ongoing training as required by the state and agency Compensation $24-$26 per hour Why Join Summit Supports?
