Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (ABI PCA, RA, and ILST) to deliver essential support and care to individuals in various care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of compassion, attention to detail, and experience working with diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or recovering from illness. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall quality of life.

Schedules:

We need 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am and all 3 weekend shifts. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting any changes or concerns for appropriate action. Support medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges. Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or memory impairments. Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills including CPR and first aid certification. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia care is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically assist clients as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
