We are headquartered in East Hartford with a day program, however we have individuals in the surrounding towns who need in home or in community supports!
FEMALE STAFF NEEDED!
30 DSO hours a week plus 28 IHS hours a week case. 2 female staff would be ideal for this case.. MUST have a vehicle, MUST be okay with personal care, MUST be culturally competent, MUST like animals. Round trip mileage reimbursement to and from day program in East Hartford. Overview Join our dedicated team as an IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) Direct Support Professional, where your compassion and energy will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care based on the individuals IP, support daily activities, and promote independence for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including autism, dementia, and other cognitive or physical challenges. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support individuals goals while empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals. Positions are available in the Day Program, IHS
  • Individualized Home Support, IDN
  • Individualized Day Non-Vocational (Community Based), IDV
  • Individualized Day Vocational (Community Based / Job Seekers).
We have position available in various cities and towns. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs). Monitor individuals health by completing daily body audits and reporting changes. Follow individual plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to cleaning protocols. Support individuals during community outings, encouraging social engagement and independence. Document care activities accurately in compliance with standards and individual plans. Support individuals according to their person-centered support plans. Skills Proven experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's or dementia care, or in assisted living environments Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and HIPAA privacy standards Strong observational skills for individuals safety Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, individuals, families, and other care providers Experience in day programs or group homes; familiarity with social work principles is beneficial Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, Med Cert, PMT, a bonus but not required.
