28 Hours (Flexible Days/Hours) M-F (Day Hours) About the Role Guide Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Mentor/Direct Support Professional to support an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supported living setting. This is a one-on-one, community-based role focused on helping an individual build independence, life skills, and confidence while staying active in their community. Cooking Movies Music and Dancing Volunteering at the horse farm Spending time with her cat Arts and Crafts Responsibilities As a Mentor, you will coach and support in the following areas: Building independent cooking skills Laundry and household routines Maintaining a clean and organized home Participating in community activities Strengthening daily living skills and overall independence This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact. The position provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on promoting independence and well-being. Minimum Requirements US Work Authorization Must be 18 years or older Valid Driver's License for a minimum of 3 years with no major violations High School Diploma or GED Dependable motor vehicle with a minimum liability limit of $100,000 or split limit of $100,000/$300,000 Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills Dependability, ability to maintain good attendance Preferred Experience Previous experience working with the Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled population Relevant Certifications such CPR, PMT, or DDS Safe Swallowing Benefits Paid Time Off Mileage Reimbursement Paid Training About Guide Inc.
