Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Care Assistant, where your compassionate nature and dedication will directly impact patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to medical staff and deliver personalized care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, and specialized units. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help ensure a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for all patients. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor patient vital signs and report changes or concerns promptly to nursing staff Support clinical teams by preparing treatment areas and ensuring supplies are stocked and sanitized Document patient interactions accurately in medical records following hospital protocols Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during their stay or visit Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various units including medical-surgical, geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and post-acute care procedures to optimize recovery outcomes Skills Prior experience in Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine is highly valued Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and Level I Trauma Center operations enhances your effectiveness in critical situations Experience working in PICU, Geriatrics, Medical-surgical units, or Post-acute care settings demonstrates versatility and adaptability Knowledge of outpatient clinics, sub-acute care environments, or outpatient therapy adds depth to your skill set Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a positive attitude in fast-paced environments such as OR (Operating Room) settings or teaching hospitals Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality care aligns with our mission of excellence in healthcare delivery Join us as a Patient Care Assistant where your enthusiasm for helping others fuels meaningful healthcare experiences.
