In this vital role, you will provide respectful, personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a home environment, assisted living facility, or group home setting, your energy and commitment will help create a nurturing atmosphere for those in your care. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition to ensure safety and comfort Support medication administration according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and assist in updating personalized care plans Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated understanding of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient safety protocols Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities or health challenges Join us to provide dedicated caregiving that enriches lives!
