This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work closely with clients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, home health environments, or group homes, ensuring their needs are met with kindness and professionalism. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help create a positive environment where clients feel valued and cared for every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting changes in condition or behavior and reporting them accurately Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking when necessary Support medication administration following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely to facilitate patient transfers and mobility Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document patient care activities thoroughly, including vital signs, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health care, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia care are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs is advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and families Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those you serve Join us in making a meaningful difference!
