As a 1:1 Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our Day Services program, you will provide individualized support and direct care to one assigned participant with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout their daily program activities.

This position is strictly a 1:1 support role , meaning staff will work directly alongside the assigned individual to provide personalized care, behavioral support, supervision, community integration, and assistance with daily activities to help promote independence, dignity, safety, and overall quality of life.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 direct support and supervision to an assigned participant during all Day Services activities Assist the individual with personal care, hygiene, meals, medication administration, mobility, and daily living needs as required Support emotional wellbeing, communication, social interaction, and positive behavioral development Implement individualized behavioral supports, supervision strategies, and program goals as directed by the care team Accompany and safely transport the assigned individual to community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and program activities as needed Encourage participation, independence, engagement, and community inclusion while maintaining participant safety at all times Monitor and document behavioral, emotional, physical, or medical changes while maintaining accurate and confidential records Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment while following all agency policies, OSHA standards, infection control procedures, and safety guidelines Respond appropriately to emergency situations and assist with crisis intervention when necessary Work collaboratively with supervisors, clinical staff, families, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure consistent quality care and support Attend and participate in mandatory trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification Strong communication, teamwork, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to lift, transfer, and physically assist individuals as needed Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, or personal care support is preferred but not required Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, and Therap, preferred This position offers the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact by providing individualized support and building a strong, positive connection with the participant you serve.
