Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals homes. In this role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their safety, and promote their overall well-being. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive environment where clients feel valued, supported, and empowered to maintain independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Support medication reminders following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, including engaging in social activities or recreational exercises Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans for residents with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities Skills Proven experience in homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience with hospice or memory care is a plus Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including autism and dementia care Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; strong physical stamina required Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Join us in delivering compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
