$21.00/hour + mileage About the Role Guide Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Mentor/Direct Support Professional to support an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supported living setting. This is a one-on-one, community-based role focused on helping an individual build independence, life skills, and confidence while staying active in their community. If you enjoy meaningful work, building relationships, and helping someone achieve real-life goals, this role may be a great fit. Responsibilities As a Mentor, you will coach and support in the following areas:
  • Building independent cooking skills (meal plan, prep, and cook)
  • Searching for employment and building employment skills
  • Maintaining a clean and organized home
  • Money and math skills
  • Weight management
  • Personal Hygiene This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact.
The position provides an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on promoting independence and well-being. Minimum Requirements US Work Authorization Must be 19 years or older Valid Driver's License for a minimum of 3 years with no major violations High School Diploma or GED Dependable motor vehicle with a minimum liability limit of $100,000 or split limit of $100,000/$300,000 Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills Dependability, ability to maintain good attendance Preferred Experience Previous experience working with the Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled population Relevant Certifications such CPR, PMT, or DDS Safe Swallowing Benefits
