This position involves providing assistance with daily living activities, fostering independence, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. The DSP will work closely with clients in various settings. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Provide personal care and support to individuals in accordance with their care plans, including transportation with your own vehicle. Engage clients in social activities to promote community involvement and enhance social skills. Observe and document client behavior and progress, reporting any significant changes to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs when necessary. Experience Previous experience in direct support roles with adults and children. Work in homes, schools and communities. Skills in cooking and maintaining a clean environment. A background in social work or related fields can enhance the effectiveness of support provided to clients. A compassionate attitude and strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients. This position requires flexibility, having clients in your own automobile and dedication to improving the lives of those we serve while promoting their independence and dignity.
