In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, promote independence, and ensure safety in clients private residences. Your dedication will help enhance quality of life while fostering a warm, respectful environment for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills and grow within the healthcare field. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Support medication reminders following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of living spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress to inform care plans and team communication Provide emotional support and companionship, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or developmental disabilities Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures; participate in ongoing training for hospice care or memory care as needed Skills At least one year experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable++ Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in health status Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically assist residents with mobility or transfers Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and documentation procedures Compassionate attitude with a dedication to providing respectful resident-centered care Experience working with individuals with autism, disabilities, dementia, or memory care needs is a plus Join us in delivering exceptional personal care that empowers individuals to live safely and comfortably.
