Easterseals is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with disabilities in community day, employment, and transition programs in the Greater Waterbury area. What We Offer ✔ Monday-Friday schedule — no nights or weekends ✔ 10 paid holidays per year ✔ Paid time off (PTO) and sick time ✔ Health insurance benefits ✔ 401(k) eligibility after one year ✔ Paid training and ongoing professional development ✔ A rewarding career helping people build independence and reach their goals What You'll Do As a DSP, you'll support adults with disabilities in community and employment settings by: Assisting with daily living, social, and vocational skills Supporting individuals at community activities and work sites Encouraging independence, choice, and community inclusion Providing transportation to program activities and job sites Helping with personal care when needed (eating, dressing, toileting) Supporting janitorial/vocational training tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, and trash removal Completing daily documentation and following individual support plans What We're Looking For Must be 21 years or older Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record High School Diploma or GED required Compassionate, reliable, patient, and willing to learn Experience We Value We encourage applicants with professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities to apply, including: DSPs, CNAs, PCAs, or caregivers Healthcare, human services, behavioral health, or special education experience Job coaching or vocational support experience Experience supporting a family member or loved one with a disability.
