In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and promote independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized caregiving. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to report promptly to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Administer medications accurately following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, creating a safe environment that minimizes confusion or agitation Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a hygienic living space to promote a healthy environment Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents meticulously in compliance with healthcare standards Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA training, and basic nursing assistant credentials are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, or hospice care is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs when needed Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams A compassionate attitude combined with patience and reliability to provide high-quality direct support Join us in delivering compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
