We're hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a part-time in-home support position in West Hartford, CT.
Schedule:
9:00 AM - 1:00/2:00 PM Monday to
Friday Key Responsibilities:
Assist with communication between client and healthcare providers (HCC) Provide transportation to medical, dental, and specialty appointments Support meal planning and grocery shopping Help with light housekeeping: laundry, organizing, cooking, garbage removal Dog walking Assist with important mail and paperwork (DSS/Medicaid redeterminations, SSI, Housing forms, Rent Subsidy, Rental Rebate, etc.) Run errands: Post office, bank, DSS, SSA, Housing Authority, etc.
Support self-care activities:
exercise, YMCA visits, walks, beauty salon Attend and support during appointments for the client and her children
Requirements:
Must be state-certified in Connecticut as a healthcare provider Must have a current CPR certification Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be personable, consistent, and dependable Experience with in-home support and/or developmental disabilities preferred Why Join Us?
