Job Description

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in Assisted living. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and possess relevant experience in healthcare environments. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition Provide medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations Support patients with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assistive devices Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and infection control practices Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia through memory care techniques Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities as needed Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to ensure patient safety Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or nursing home settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and medication administration Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is highly desirable Certification in CPR and First Aid required or willingness to obtain upon hire Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life Experience working with care plans and providing direct support in long-term or community care environments This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working within a supportive team dedicated to excellence in personal care.
