Job description: This job is Mon through Fri from 10:00A to 2:00P Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will support residents in their daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe, nurturing environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Support medication administration (as needed) following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks in accordance with health standards Provide companionship and emotional support to residents with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Document care activities accurately while adhering to privacy regulations such as HIPAA Requirements

APD REQUIREMENTS TRAININGS

Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices Valid certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts Familiarity with dementia care, memory care, hospice care, or Alzheimer's care is advantageous Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a commitment to respectful caregiving Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations Join us as a Direct Support Professional and be part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate care.
