This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while positively impacting your community every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's Monitor and observe patients closely, recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in accordance with health standards Support residents during activities and social engagements to foster community involvement and mental stimulation Document patient care activities thoroughly and communicate any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or supervisors Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Hands-on experience with patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, and memory care practices highly desirable Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards essential for maintaining resident privacy Experience with care planning, patient monitoring, assisted living procedures, and heavy lifting techniques such as the use of Hoyer lifts preferred Background in social work or nursing assisting roles is advantageous for understanding comprehensive care needs Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions such as hospice or dementia Join us in providing exceptional support that enhances quality of life!
