Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Home Health Aide, providing compassionate and personalized care to clients in Gainesville. As a vital member of our home health team, you'll deliver high-quality care that promotes independence, safety, and comfort in the familiar setting of each client's home. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheter care devices Monitor and observe patients' health status by recording vital signs, medical documentation, and updating electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems accurately Administer medications following prescribed protocols while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment aligned with infection control standards Document medical records thoroughly and assist with medical terminology understanding for accurate reporting Utilize skills in working with home & community care systems to coordinate services effectively and ensure seamless patient care delivery Experience Prior experience in home health or long-term care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to work with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient tracking Knowledge of medical procedures such as vital signs measurement, CPR certification, medication administration, catheter care, and hospice support Experience assisting with ADLs in assisted living or nursing home settings is advantageous Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to home health caregiving roles Proven ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with compassion, patience, and professionalism Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms lives!
