Hollywood, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork Hospice experience BLS Certification End-of-life care Patient interaction Full Job Description JXPxgo25 Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, noting changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Support medication administration following proper protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments through tailored memory care techniques. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively. Assist with medical documentation, including recording vital signs, medication logs, and incident reports to ensure accurate medical records. Perform light housekeeping duties like cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe home environment for clients. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive home health services aligned with care plans. Support patients during hospice care by providing compassionate emotional support and comfort measures in accordance with care guidelines. Qualifications Proven experience in home health care or long-term care environments; nursing home experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or catheter care are a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documentation purposes. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Physical stamina to perform caregiving tasks that may involve lifting (Hoyer lift), repositioning patients, or assisting with mobility needs.
