Direct Support Professional

Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques to prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Document resident progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members about any concerns or changes in condition Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is highly valued Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and recognize signs requiring attention Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks involving resident transfers or mobility assistance Experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or nursing home environments is preferred Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, and families Basic cooking skills for meal preparation and nutritional support Join us in creating a positive impact through compassionate caregiving!
