This position involves providing compassionate care and support in various settings, including group homes, supported living, and community environments. The DSP will assist clients with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Duties Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Monitor patients' health and report any changes in condition to appropriate staff. Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote socialization and skill development. Support individuals with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Help clients with mobility and transportation to appointments or community events. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all clients. Document daily activities, progress, and any incidents in accordance with company policies. Requirements Previous experience in social work, senior care, or as a caregiver is preferred. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is a plus. Experience working in a group home setting or providing dementia care is advantageous. Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences of clients. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate nature with a commitment to promoting client dignity and independence. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations. This role is essential for fostering an environment of support and care for individuals who rely on our assistance for their daily needs. Have you ever had a Level 2 background screening?
