In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while working in a rewarding, team-oriented setting. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Support residents during community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence Document care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies and assist in updating individual care plans regularly Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is essential Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia (including Alzheimer's and other memory care needs), or hospice care is advantageous Familiarity with emergency procedures such as CPR and first aid certification is required Previous work involving heavy lifting or the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts demonstrates physical readiness for the role Background in social work or long-term care provides valuable insight into holistic client support strategies Ability to work with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care such as dementia or Alzheimer's This role is perfect for compassionate individuals eager to grow their caregiving expertise while positively impacting lives every day.
