Direct Support Professional

Overview:

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse needs within their home and community settings.

Duties:

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide home and community-based care to support individuals' independence
• Work with people on the autism spectrum to enhance their quality of life
• Offer caregiving services with empathy and respect
• Engage in meal preparation based on dietary requirements
• Be capable of heavy lifting when necessary
• Utilize social work skills to build meaningful relationships with those in your care
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality

Experience:

• Prior experience in caregiving or home care is preferred
• Familiarity with working with individuals who have autism is a plus
• Knowledge of social work principles for effective client support
