Job Description

Job Overview Personal attendant needed for elderly man in Mary Esther, FL. Nice home on the water. Experience preferred. Responsibilities Assist in personal care and help needs for individual who has trouble ambulating freely. Assist in helping him prop his chair, pillows. Help him in and out of his chair. Support with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition according to care plans Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Assist with medication reminders and monitor for adverse reactions or side effects during home care Follow safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility needs Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide high-quality patient care Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
